A 27-year-old man is being held by police in Elgeyo-Marakwet County after he killed his wife in cold blood after accusing her of cheating on him.
On June 14, Solomon Kilimo is alleged to have traveled from Nairobi to Iten with one purpose in mind: to confirm accusations that his 23-year-old wife was having an affair with a neighbor.
After failing to find his wife at home, a furious Kiplimo asked neighbors where the guy, one Dan Mwangi, who had reportedly been chewing his wife resided, according to Fichuzi news.
Mr. Mwangi’s residence was raided by Kiplimo, who discovered the two in the deed and attacked them.
Mwangi was able to flee, but his wife was not so fortunate, as she was stabbed many times with a kitchen knife. She died as a result of her injuries.
Mr. Kiplimo presented himself at Iten police station after performing the terrible deed, according to Keiyo North Sub-County Police Commander Tom Makori, who confirmed the event.
“An inquiry into the events at Kapsho Estate has already been begun. He reportedly discovered the couple in bed and attacked them with a knife, murdering the wife instantly,” Makori added.
