Christine Ambani’s killer, a university student, was apprehended by murder detectives and posted a tribute to her on Facebook.
On Friday, July 16, Innocent Kalio, a Mount Kenya University student, expressed his sadness on social media, stating that Ambani’s death had affected him hard. He also chastised the assailants of his alleged lover, stating they would never be at peace in life.
“This is more than worse to me. Rest easy my close person. They’ll never have peace,” wrote Kalia.
On Tuesday, July 12, the late Ambani, who was a student at Mwihoko’s Kiriri Women’s University of Science and Technology, was found killed inside a guest home in Githurai, Kiambu county. Her corpse was found to have been stabbed in the chest, resulting in severe bleeding that eventually led to her death.
Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) pounced on Kalio in the Chokaa neighborhood of Kayole on Tuesday, July 27. The DCI team said that Ambani had left the university in the morning to meet him in the Githurai region on the day of her death.
