The body of one of the “Kitengela four” was exhumed by the mother and moved to an unknown destination, according to police at Holo hamlet in West Songhor, Chemelil Sub-County, Kisumu County.
Caroline Obuong, Elijah Obuong’s mother, arrived with a group of six men and exhumed the body that had been buried for three weeks, according to the police.
“A group of seven people suspected to be from Uyoma Siaya County arrived in a hearse with registration number unknown and invaded the home of Daniel Obudi Ogago of holo village west songhor sublocation and ilegally exhumed the body of Elijah Obuong, Daniel Obudi’s nephew, who was buried on 13/05/2021,” according to the OB report.
After wrapping the coffin in a polythene bag, the seven traveled to an undisclosed location.
Kisumu County Commander Samwel Anampiu said, “Our officers from Koru Police Station are dealing with this incident, which is still under investigation.”
Caroline claimed last month that his son was simply a victim of circumstance.
“My kid was a devout Adventist who shunned to drink alcoholic beverages. He only had acquaintances with dubious morals. It is excruciatingly uncomfortable. To kill an innocent, helpless person is cruel and inhumane. She said, “My firstborn son died a horrific death, leaving his only other brother and us.”
After eating lunch at a prominent Kitengela club, the four guys, Jack Ochieng, Benjamin Imbai, Brian Odour, and Obuong, went missing.
Obuong’s body was discovered just a day after he was reported missing, on April 20, 2021. His body was sent to the mortuary and identified as a “unidentified male adult.”
Another body, thought to be that of Ochieng, was discovered 100 meters from Obuong’s body.
A third body, thought to be Imbai’s, was discovered at General Kago Funeral Home.
