Diana Opemi Lutta, Dr Mukhisa Kituyi’s alleged lover, is said to have attempted suicide before being saved by her friends.
According to reports, Diana Opemi started by deleting all of her images from social media and other web galleries.
She attempted suicide by jumping from a three-story rooftop building in Mombasa due to her depression after leaking a viral video of the EX-UN chief.
On May 22, 2021, Diana Opemi Lutta filed a complaint in Nyali police station in Mombasa County, alleging that the former United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Secretary-General assaulted her while she was at the hotel.
Under OB Number 10/22/05/2021, Ms Diana Lutta claimed that the former Trade minister in the first government of retired President Mwai Kibaki ambushed her while demanding to sleep with him forcefully in the hotel.
“Assault report to the station by one Diana Opemi Lutta (who) has presented a report today the 22nd day of May 2021, at around 0200 hours. She has been assailed by a person known to her within Tamarind Village, namely Mukhisa Kituyi whom she claims to be her boyfriend,” stated the recorded statement.
