In 2017, a 28-year-old lady was admitted to the University Hospital of Santander (HUS) in Bucaramanga, Colombia, after eating over Sh900,000 to make sure her ex didn’t get half of it.
Sandra Milena Almeida was admitted to the hospital with acute stomach discomfort. The 28-year-old was soon diagnosed with a gastrointestinal blockage, and she was taken to the operating room for emergency surgery.
When medics opened her up, they discovered Almeida’s tummy was stuffed with rolled-up $100 notes.
They were able to remove the majority of the money from the small intestine, with the remainder passing through the colon and being naturally emptied.
As soon as she recovered from the operation, police investigators questioned the woman about her motivations and discovered that she did it to avoid providing half of it to her ex-lover.
Sandra Milena Almeida and her girlfriend had been putting money aside to go to Panama, but their relationship had reached a breaking point.
Her boyfriend requested his share of the funds, and she made every effort to keep the entire money.
