Bob Collymore, the giant telco Safaricom CEO who went on sick leave in October 2017 may soon be back to continue steering the multi billion shilling telco to more heights of profitability, if recent Christmas Twitter updates is anything to go by.
Responding to a query by a concerned Kenyan, Bob Collymore said that he is doing well, and in turn wished the tweep happy festivities.
Mr. Collymore left Joseph Ogutu, currently Director in Charge of Strategy and Innovation in charge at the height of politically-instigated Safaricom product boycotts led by the NASA coalition, over the telco’s involvement in the bungled August 8 Presidential elections. The thread was later swarmed by Kenyans from all walks of life wishing bob quick recovery.
@kwanjohi: Good morning @SafaricomLtd? how’s @bobcollymore doing?
Responses tricked in in the thread;
@bobcollymore: I’m doing very well. Thanks for asking and a Happy Christmas to you and yours.
@EstherPassaris: Merry Christmas Bob. Can Safaricom and many of its partners / foundations in Kenya help #ReleaseDetainedPatients at Kenyatta National Hospital so they can go home for Christmas? 100k is average bill / detained poor patient. Women detained along corridor beds. Men on floors. Help?
