Two middle-aged men from Mugatsi Market in Busia County’s Nambale Constituency have decided to swap spouses.
After the latter wedded the former’s wife, one named Josh Oduor and another named Sakis are reported to have agreed to swap spouses in peace.
Oduor said that he had heard his wife was having an extramarital affair with Sakis, a Boda Boda rider, but that he had yet to prove it.
He claims he was taken aback when he found out his wife had married a Boda Boda rider, but she left his farm with their three children, claiming she was going to her parents’ house.
After receiving a call from his mother-in-law asking to speak with her daughter on his phone, Oduor claims he rushed Sakis’ home and discovered his wife and three children inside. When pressed, she revealed that she had selected the Boda Boda rider as her spouse.
In vengeance, Oduor enticed Sakis’ wife, who had returned to her parents’ house, and persuaded her to marry him.
The lady consented to marry Oduor, and the two are reported to have told the cops about their relationship.
“When I arrived at the Boda Boda rider’s house, I discovered my wife cleaning utensils and doing other household duties. When I questioned what she was doing there, she said that she had decided to marry the Boda Boda guy. I opted to track down the Boda Boda rider’s ex wife and seduce her. We then decided to marry and proceeded to the police station to notify them of our decision,” Oduor explained.
“The man has put forth a lot of effort to care for his wife. It’s painful, but it’s wonderful that they’ve agreed to work things out since he was even wandering about with a knife in his hand, ready to attack the Boda Boda rider. We hope they continue to live in peace now that they have wisely resolved the issue,” one of the locals said.
