Two years after storming State House and being shot by security, an invader now says he wants to see President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Brian Bera, who was shot by guards in 2019 and was wounded, stated today that he feels he is a voice of reason and would like to share his story with the President.
Bera, a fifth-year Mechanical Engineering student at Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), was shot and seriously injured as he attempted to enter State House on June 10, 2019.
The invasion happened barely one day after he said on Facebook that he was going to State House to knife President Kenyatta.
He claims that the cops who shot him might easily have killed him, but they never did.
“During the shoot-out, I came face to face with three cops who all primed their guns, but two of them with AK47s withdrew while the one with a pistol fired a shot at me. Given that I am still alive, I would like to meet with them and express my gratitude.
The bullet exited in the middle of his back, leaving a big wound on his left side of the arm.
“It’s incredible that none of my bones were fractured. “It was only a few months after I was shot that the wound healed extremely quickly,” he added.
Bera, who received a perfect score of 405 on the KCPE, According to KCSE, he found himself burning his academic diplomas a few months before storming State House.
“I was awarded a certificate for every mathematical contest I entered in secondary school, which I burned along with my elementary school certificate. I’m glad that my KCSE certificate is still in good condition because I still haven’t received it from Nairobi School,” he added.
Bera explained that pupils were pushed to create their own departure certificates, which he failed to do, when asked why he had not picked up his certificate from school.
